Privacy notice

This site is operated by Citizens for Quality Education, an independent local political committee. This notice explains how we handle information from website visitors, volunteers, and contributors.

What the site collects

If you join the update list, the site may collect an email address, optional mobile number, optional address, and your separate email or text preferences. If you volunteer, it collects your name, email or mobile number, optional address, selected ways to help, and any note you provide so the committee can follow up about campaign activities. Yard-sign requests also include the requested quantity and delivery address.

Online contributions

Online contributions are available through Stripe. Stripe handles checkout and payment details; this website does not receive your full card number or security code. The committee can access contribution records, including contributor contact and billing information, employer and occupation when collected, amounts, fees, and payment status, for administration, reconciliation, and campaign-finance reporting. Public reporting and record access

Contributor information may appear in required public campaign-finance reports. The website's contact list and finance dashboard are not public; access is restricted to authorized committee users according to their roles. Records needed for reporting and legal obligations may be retained even if you stop receiving updates.

Update-list signups

The site may ask for an email address and optional mobile number for campaign updates. Email and text preferences are collected separately; the records are stored in the committee's private Cloudflare D1 database. Automatic messages are not active until the committee approves the final list, consent, and opt-out process.

Volunteer signups

If you volunteer, the site stores your name, email address or mobile number, optional address, selected ways to help, and any note you provide so the committee can follow up about campaign activities. Volunteer contact information is kept with the private committee contact list and does not automatically subscribe you to general email or text updates.

Website analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Google Analytics to understand website traffic. Google Analytics uses cookies and processes page views, referral information, browser and device information, and approximate location. Advertising personalization and automatic form-interaction tracking are disabled. We do not send names, email addresses, phone numbers, delivery addresses, calculator inputs, or contribution details to Google Analytics. Private administration and workshop pages are excluded from Google Analytics.

Google Analytics is limited to visits identified as originating in the United States. It stays off when the country cannot be determined or the browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal.
